So Tom decides my youngest is well overdue his first driving lesson despite the fact he’s not old enough to apply for a license.
Nick is keen. The car is that big old Jag with a cocktail cabinet in the back. They set off around the narrow residential roads and are gone an ominously long time. To our great relief they eventually return with Tom explaining that everything’s ok and that it’s all been sorted out. It was only a small dent and our neighbours accepted his apologies. We had no need to worry about anything......and luckily that proved to be the case ! 
We always looked forward to seeing Tom .
