A legend in our eyes

Dear Yolande and Chloe,

My Mum and Dad’s brothers both lived in different countries so the closest thing Nick & I had to close uncle’s were always Tom & Paul.
My Dads best mates for 50+ years and total legends.

Tom would arrive to Mary Green and light up the house. Telling dirty jokes and making us laugh the whole time. Dad and him would pop out for some “milk” and be missing for a few hours coming back a bit merrier.
Every time I saw Tom he religiously pulled me aside and had a quiet word.. he’s say “you know your Dad... he’s one of my best mates, he’s such a cool guy and I could tell you a few stories about him from when we were younger but you’ll have to wait” he’s then always say “if you ever need talk sometime or if you need anything - just give me call”.
Not only would Tom complement my Dad but then he’d say - “and your mum is amazing too”.

One of my favourite stories that my Dad tells was when he was in hospital. Dad was feeling low as Nick was sick at the time. Tom rocked up with a plastic bag full of “fruity” magazines.. he said “here that will cheer you up Rich mate”... Dad nearly fell off the bed thinking the nurses would start looking at him funny!

Tom was such a joker and never failed to make us smile.
Every moment with Tom always filled us with joy.

Mum, Dad, Nick and I are heartbroken and we wish we could be with you all.

Wishing you all our love.
